After breakfast leave La Paz by bus to drive alongside the Cordillera Real mountain range to Lake Titicaca.  You will cross the Tiquina strait where you need to transit by small boat, while the bus goes on the ferry.   Upon arrival in Copacabana you have time for a quick look around the impressive Moorish Cathedral, before boarding your boat to Isla del Sol.  Enjoy cruising on the lake.  Visit the Inca Steps on Isla del Sol and stop for lunch at a local restaurant.  The boat will bring you back to Copacabana in the evening where you can check in to your charming hotel for the night with great views over the bay.  There are several good restaurants in Copacabana, and you also have self-catering facilities in your bungalow.  You can buy food at the local market which is open until around 7pm.  Spend the night at our Standard hotel in Copacabana.

Our Standard accommodation in Copacabana is in fact a bit special.  You will have your own small self-catering bungalow perched high on the hillside, overlooking the bay of Copacabana.  The décor is quirky to say the least but each of the bungalows has been decorated like a work of art.   All bungalows have en-suite bathrooms with hot water and towels, some private outdoor space whether it’s a terrace or a balcony with at least one hammock, and most also have a wood-burning stove or open fireplace inside the room.  There is no internet access at the hotel, there are relatively expensive internet cafes in town but the connection is generally poor in Copacabana (best to wait until you get to La Paz or Puno where most hotels and cafes have free wifi).  It is a small family-run hotel and although staff are friendly and helpful, their English may not be perfect.  Please note that due to its hillside location with pedestrian access only, this hotel is not suitable for passengers with difficulty walking, or who are unable to carry their luggage up steps, please ask us for alternative accommodation options.
